About

So what about me?

Well, I’m a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Utah (don’t even bother with a comment about the wacky liquor laws).  I graduated with a Master’s degree from Brigham Young University with a tax emphasis.  I have a mostly cool array of tax clients, and a terrific cast of business clients who outsource their financial oversight needs to me.  I do enjoy helping them get their arms around their financial situations and make good business decisions based on that.

Personal stuff?  Glad you asked, because it is much more important and really defines who I am.  I enjoy writing, long, hand-holding walks along the beach (at least if my wife is reading this), “Lost”, and perfumed baths with lots of candles.  Okay, that last one is totally bogus.  Just a few candles.

I attended well north of 100 baseball games during 2008 (four boys, all, oddly enough, into baseball).  I coached as much as I could.  Unfortunately, I also attended far too many youth soccer games during 2008.  And by far too many, I mean more than zero.  I’ve become convinced that time actually goes backward while spectating a soccer game.  The slowest hour in all of sports.  Don’t get me wrong.  I completely appreciate the athleticism and strategy involved.  It just bores me.

I play a lot of softball.  Badly, but I play it.  I pitch, so I too often have the opportunity on a come-backer to throw out the batter running to first.  My teammates call me Chuck Knoblauch with good reason.  See his throwing history while a Yankee if you’re unsure of the reference.  Get me more than 20′ away and I’m fine.
